A development application has been lodged for a mixed use development, located at 825 Hampton Drive, Venice, Los Angeles. Designed by David Hidalgo Architects the proposal seeks the construction of a new mixed-use 4-story building with height up to 44 feet tall.  The ew residential building will comprise 36 dwelling units (4 units for very low-income households) and about 3,416 SQF of ground floor commercial uses. Currently site has some commercial structures that will all be demolished to facilitate new development.

The proposal provides 60 car parking (41 residential and 19 commercial) spaces and 64 bike spaces.

The planners at Howard Robinson & Associates state, “the proposal accords with and promotes the intent of the Zone. The proposed development is a compatible infill development that provides for greater economic activity to cater to the needs of the growing population“.

“The proposal achieves architectural excellence through incorporating climatic responsive design with a public accessible ground plane that promotes pedestrian movement through the site”.  

 
 
 

The proposal seeks 36,716 SQF of gross floor area, including 3,416 SQF of ground floor commercial tenancies on the 18,487 SF total site area.
