A mixed use development project is proposed for Residential and Commercial, located at 5700 Hannum Avenue, Culver City, Los Angeles.
Designed by KFA Architecture, the project seeks the construction of a contemporary mixed-use mixed use building (5-storey in overall height) over a 2.2-acre plot at the southwest corner of Hannum and Buckingham Parkway. The design initiative will repurpose a late 1970s office complex into a residential community and provide a mix of bedroom apartments and commercial space on the ground floor.
The proposal seeks to include increased density and height than permitted under the zoning rules, however will provide additional very low-income affordable apartments in return. Open space in the form of a public-accessible plaza along Hannum Avenue, rooftop and internal spaces are proposed to provide for the building residence.
