A development application has been approved for a new residential development, located at 2303 Gianera Street, Santa Clara.

The council website outlines, “the proposed project is to rezone the property from R1-6L – Single Family to PD – Planned Development, construct eight single-family units in four separate structures, and subdivide the property to create eight individual lots and one common area. Seven of the eight units are proposed to be market-rate, one unit is proposed to be an affordable moderate rate income unit”.

“The General Plan of Low Density Residential allows for up to 19 units per acre, the subject property is .39 acres which allows for 7 units, with an additional one unit allowed as required by Government Code Section 65915, Density Bonus for the development of affordable housing.  Each unit is proposed to about 2,300 square feet, four bedrooms, and two and a half baths. Each unit is planned to have two tandem covered parking spaces with a maximum height of 29.5-feet”.
