A development application has been lodged for reconfiguring and improvement of a car dealership building, located at 800, 806, 812, 816, and 820 W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard
Designed by YSN Design Architect + Planning, the proposal seeks to increase the height of an already built and approved car dealership and service centre and to create a Hyundai dealership instead of a Honda dealership.
The site is comprised of two buildings located on two parcels with frontage to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and bisected by Hoover St. The East building will retain its height of 68 ft, while the west building’s height will be changed from 54 ft to 65 ft, which means an addition of 11 ft.

The planners MAYER BROWN LLP state, “The proposed mix of uses will harmonize the locality and provide for finer grain activity that will support pedestrian movement along Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Pedestrian connectivity is provided through the site via the publicly accessible lobbies from at both road frontages”.
The development comprises approximately 152,477 SQF of East building and approximately 105,075 SQF West building.
